04 Description
EVIQUS PACS is a modern Picture Archiving and Communication System for digital radiology in veterinary medicine. Built specifically for German-speaking veterinary practices and clinics, EVIQUS PACS covers the complete imaging workflow — from owner-aware patient records and DICOM modality integration (X-ray, CT, MR, ultrasound) to a reading workstation with ten veterinary-specific measurement tools, all the way to a structured, signed report that is automatically stored as a PDF in the patient record and as a DICOM object inside the study.
The system follows a modular three-component architecture: a PACS server running as a Windows service with an integrated web admin UI, a desktop client for front-desk and exam-room work, and a dedicated DICOM viewer with GPU-accelerated rendering, cine playback for ultrasound and slice navigation for CT/MR. Externally, EVIQUS PACS speaks the full DICOM 3.0 standard — Store, Modality Worklist, MPPS, Storage Commitment, Query/Retrieve (C-FIND/C-MOVE) and DICOM send to third-party systems — plus GDT 2.1/3.5 for practice-management software integration (Vetera, easyVet, Inpractice). Patient CDs are imported into the archive with intelligent patient reconciliation; export to folder, USB or CD/DVD (optionally anonymised) with a bundled portable viewer is built in.
EVIQUS PACS is part of the EVIQUS suite for veterinary practice IT and is also being prepared for human-medicine deployments. Currently available in the TechPreview programme; MDR Class IIa conformity assessment in progress.
